Wine Time!

This full-bodied color is a bold and classy statement that we don't want to look away from.  It's a fall and winter favorite that works in a variety of ways.

Long Sleeve Dresses for Fall

As we move into fall, it's time so (sniff sniff) start thinking about dressing for warmer weather.  I love pieces that transition well into fall and even winter.  One of my faves is the long sleeve dress.  You can wear it now with pumps and then later with with boots and tights.  I am also a big fan of the boots with no tights look.  Here are some ideas...
Mossimo Women's Ultrasoft Sweater Dress from Target - $29.99

byCorpus Sweater Dress at Urban Outfitters - $69.00

Forever 21 Shimmery Lace Dress - $27.80

American Apparel Knit Stripe Sweater Crew Neck Dress - $65.00

See it styled with a scarf, belt and boots below on Troian Bellisario (Spencer Hastings) in Pretty Little Liars.  Come on! It doesn't get any cuter than that!

Jennifer Lopez for Kohls

To be honest, when I heard J-Lo for Kohls, I didn't know what to expect.  However, after viewing the lookbook, I was pleasantly surprised with sophisticated items that could transition well from day to night.  Although the items are priced a little higher than normal Kohl's merchandise, most of the apparel and shoes are getting great reviews and seem to be worth the extra money.  Additionally, as with most of their collections, almost everything is on sale.  Take a look and see what you think.

These are just a couple of images.  Check out the collection yourself at http://www.kohls.com/kohlsStore/ourbrands/jenniferlopez.jsp#slide=2&sub=1&look=1.

Big Crumbs = Money Earned!

One of the best kept secrets of online shopping is Big Crumbs Online.  It is one of the easiest ways to make a little money while shopping on the websites for products that you would have purchased anyway.

All you have to do is register for an account and then log on through the Big Crumbs website when you shop online.  When you purchase products on the website, you get a predefined percentage of the purchase amount back into your account.  For example, Target gives up to 5.6% back on every puchase.  For every $100 you spend, you get $5.60.  Every month, a deposit is made into your Paypal account that you link to Big Crumbs.  It's so easy!  I love getting that Paypal text every month with my unexpected cash being deposited in my account.

Some of the popular stores that participate include:
  • Target
  • Old Navy
  • Macy's
  • Endless.com
  • American Eagle
  • Express
  • Expedia
  • Nordstrom
One of the only downfalls is remembering to sign in through Big Crumbs because once you have purchased the product, you cannot go back and get credit for it.  I set my shortcuts up to my favorite participating retailers so I can just click on the link and go directly to the websites I shop at most. Just click on the link below to check it out!

Belts, belts, belts!

One of the easiest ways to make a basic outift original is to add an interesting belt.  Not only does it show your personal style but it usually creates a flattering natural waistline.  There are a lot of belts to choose from and if you are just beginning, I would first purchase a cognac leather belt.  Cognac is a color that can work with almost any color including black.  Here are a few I found that would be universally flattering and versatile.
Forever 21 Faux Leather Belt - $7.80

ASOS Square Buckle Skinny Boyfriend Belt - $14.64

Urban Outfitters Cooperative Double Leather Belt - $34.00

And here are some that are a little different...

Express Toggle-Chain Stretch Belt - $39.90
Kimchi Blue Leather Lasercut Filigree Belt - $39.00

Christian Siriano for Payless

Okay, I'm not a major shoe-aholic or anything but these Christian Siriano Kristina Pumps from Payless are VERY cute.  Simple yet unique with the gold buckle...and at this price, why not?  They are $29.99 down from $34.99. Even if they last one season it would be completely worth the $.  Check them out!

Calling All Fashionistas!

This is my first post and debut as a blogger.  I'm not what you might call "high fashion" and I don't believe in spending $500 on one pair of shoes.  I do believe in looking unique and finding quality clothes at decent prices that fit and flatter.  Most of this blog will be dedicated to finding good prices as well as changing an outfit through accessories to make it look and fit better.  I hope you find value in reading what I have to say but more importantly, I hope you enjoy reading it!  Thanks!
